Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Leader to join our team at our BW Papersystems Wisconsin Division. As the Accounting Leader you will oversee the accounting function for multiple business units and sites. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, able to manage team members and deadlines, and have a continuous improvement mindset.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform and oversee the general ledger accounting functions of the division.
  • Lead month end and year end close activities; communicate and enforce deadlines.
  • Responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations and roll-forwards.
  • Lead compliance activities for the division, to include quarterly compliance reporting and the annual audit.
  • Coordinate, interpret, and record financial close activities for foreign offices.
  • Serve as member of divisional finance leadership team.
  • Provide support to the leadership team in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis.
  • Lead a team of direct reports. Coach and guide associates on error resolution and drive best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification or master’s degree is a plus
  • 3-7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Superior ability to lead and implement change.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and delegate tasks to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
  • Successfully manage ambiguity through solid problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, ERP and accounting systems
  • Strong work ethic and customer service mindset.
