Accountant / Book Keeper Job at Xylem Tree Experts
Summary/Objective
We are looking for a skilled full charge accountant to manage all aspects of financial records and reporting for multiple companies. The accountant will work closely with the ownership team and CFO to create and analyze financial reports from detailed records maintained in QuickBooks Online.
Essential Functions
- Record and process accounts payable
- Maintain invoicing and manage collections from customers (via check or credit card)
- Daily data entry into bookkeeping system
- Process weekly payroll including payment of commissions
- Account for fixed assets
- Perform internal audits, fact check and resolve discrepancies
- Process all regulatory filings and ensure compliance with payroll tax, sales and use tax filing requirements
- Responsible for monthly financial closing, reconciliation of all accounts
- Create financial statements and related financial reports, review monthly with the ownership team and CFO
- Develop detailed income, expense and other reports as needed
- Collect information needed for annual audited financial statements and tax returns
- Monitor daily cashflow
- Other duties as assigned by the ownership team and/or CFO
