What We Need:
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Design Public Group team!
As a Staff Accountant with DPG, you will be responsible for recording accounting transactions and reconciliations to ensure the company is maintaining accurate accounting records according to GAAP, SOX, and HNI policies and procedures. This role is instrumental in continuous process improvement in existing operations to optimize the financial network. Integral in playing a critical role in the strategic and tactical direction in reducing costs, increasing efficiencies, and achieving operational excellence. This position is a remote position.
What You Will Do:
- Prepare, review and file timely accounting statements to document & communicate company performance.
- Reconcile, research variances, and analyze accounts including intercompany reconciliations and month end close.
- Record general ledger entries to accurately reflect the current position of the organization in compliance with GAAP.
- Process customer refunds as necessary.
- Drive and integrate projects/initiatives related to continuous improvement activities across finance/accounting function.
What You Have:
- 4 Year Bachelor’s degree required: preferably in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting.
- 3-5 years in role as bookkeeper or accountant
- Excellent computer skills and completely at ease with browser-based applications, online shopping, and chat applications.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, ecommerce and/or product inventory.
