Job Description:

We are seeking a detailed oriented, computer savvy, results driven ABA Billing Specialist to join our team as a 1099 contractor but could turn in to a W2 employee after proven success in role. There may be some meetings at the office in Santa Clarita but 95% of the job will be working remotely from home so you must be able to work well independently, a self-starter, and be good about reaching out and returning communication attempts in a timely manner. You will be working with the Director of Operations and Executive Director so access to a reliable computer and cell phone is a MUST.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the accuracy and timely submission of the insurance billings
• Activities must follow federal, state, and county requirements as well as company policies
• Maintain billing system, ABA WebQA(CodeMetro) and ensure all claims are billed in a timely manner
• Maintain a positive business relationship with and be the point of contact for all funding sources claim departments
• Prepare claims weekly and submit them electronically
• Provide weekly report on status of unresolved claims
• Diligently follow up with insurance companies when claim denials are received
• Work closely with the Director of Operations and Executive Director to ensure correct billings of services and copays based on the clients plan
• Work closely with the Director of Operations and Executive Director to track and maintain current contracts and correct client information
• Any other relevant duties as assigned

• Five years of experience working in ABA or early start programs REQUIRED
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to work independently and be a contributing team member
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written
• Good organizational skills
• Reliable access to a computer and cell phone
• Strong knowledge of making graphs, charts, and tables in Microsoft Word and Excel a PLUS

Hours will be based on billing for close to 15 patients however the this number is increasing regularly.
