A&R Coordinator/Therapist – Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday, Swing Shift, 12P - 12:30A

Qualifications

Education/Training:
  • Master’s Degree from accredited school in Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

Experience:
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a Behavioral Health Center or psychiatric counseling setting with adults and/or adolescents treating co-occurring, mentally ill, or chemically dependent patients, with an understanding of co-occurring disorders, and Cultural Linguistic Diversity amongst patients.

Licensure/Certification:
  • CPR certification
  • Preferred licensure as LCSW, LMHC, or CAP

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong therapeutic skills and knowledge of therapeutic philosophies (group and individual treatment skills)
  • Working knowledge of developmental stages
  • Some minimal knowledge of community resources
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients with varied ability to understand
  • Some minimal knowledge of community resources
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and open to learning and understanding different perspectives
  • Experience conducting mental health assessments and providing appropriate diagnoses utilizing the DSM V
