REPORTS TO: Area Director
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Responsible for reporting and collecting data for their site. Responsible for working closely with the AD in the development, organization and implementation of all recreation, after school and summer programs and activities of all youth at their site. The goal of the position is to provide quality programs that will positively influence the lives of the participants, volunteers, parents, and staff involved with the programs
21st Century Site Supervisor Responsibilities:

Plan and implement programs that support Youth Development Outcomes:
- Achieve program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission that foster youth involvement, growth and development into adulthood
- Implement and supervise members in day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals
- Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills
- Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety and development of members
- Assist in the maintenance of recreation and after school program goals and settings that insure the health and safety of members. Understand and effectively communicate program standards as applicable. Ensure that program areas are safe, well-ventilated and well lit; and that club equipment is inventoried and maintained in good working order
- Provide proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements, and any problems/issues
- Provide assistance and feedback in the evaluation of all programs on a continual basis and ensure that programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.
- Create opportunities for youth to explore new interests and skills through service projects and programs that launch career exploration avenues.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May assist in the oversight of special programs and/or events (i.e. Holiday Parties, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs, etc.), and/or participate in the implementation of other activities as necessary.
- May be required to drive the Club van periodically.
- May be required to supervise facility.
- May consult with parents concerning member issues.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with club staff (professional and volunteer), club members, and supervisor to receive/provide direct information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions, instruct, and advise/counsel.
External: Maintain close contact as needed with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in accurate completion of grant duties and solving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a bachelor's degree
- Must have experience supervising employees
- Must have at least 2 years in implementing youth development programs
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities
- Basic computer skills (word processing, email, Internet searches, etc.)
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position requires some lifting (large files, paper for printers and copier).
- Occasional traveling for training
- A work week of 40 hours
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
