LAS VEGAS – Tiffany “Time Bomb” Van Soest, one of Muay Thai’s most colorful characters and crowd-pleasing fighters, is dropping to the 120-pound weight class and will battle top-Canadian Ashley Nichols on Jan. 29 for the vacant women’s super bantamweight title at Lion Fight 27, the promotion announced Monday.

Van Soest presently holds the Lion Fight women’s world title at 125 pounds.

“Tiffany has been annihilating opponents recently and wants to win titles in multiple weight classes, as great fighters in combat sports often do,” said Lion Fight President Scott Kent. “Ashley Nichols is the crème de la crème in Canada, with a world championship on her resume, and poses a formidable threat to Tiffany’s plans. Tiffany’s been destroying high-caliber opponents of late but Ashley Nichols is the real deal and has all the tools needed to pull the upset.”
