Growing up in the great fight state of New Mexico, Andres Quintana knew early on that fighting was his destiny. By 11 he began boxing, and in his teens, he started training in MMA while dabbling in Wrestling.
By 16, Quintana was fighting and doing so often, in as many sporting contests as he could get into, regulated or otherwise. The young man was driven with an unordinary discipline and passion. Quintana went on to capture multiple amateur State Boxing and MMA titles.
Quintana always dreamed of becoming a world champion and creating an unforgettable legacy in the heart of fans worldwide. At 19, Quintana decided it was time to prepare for the professional circuit and made the move to team Luttrell/Yee MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico to train under the guidance of head coach Chris Luttrell.
The decision paid dividends when Quintana captured his first professional title at 23 and the young prospect has never looked back. The world-class team of coaches and teammates have forged Quintana into one of the most talented featherweight contenders in the world.
With heady goals in and out of the cage, Quintana still has his boyhood vision front and centre. After all, not even gold shines like a legacy.
